HIGHLIGHTS OF 2019

Manish Suresh Kumar, 20 years old, ranked No.7 among the Indian men, won the Gold medal for India in the South Asian Federation Games in both the team and Individual Events. He has been and training at Chennai Tennis Center, ever since he was a beginner.

Prithvi Shekar, ranked 22 among the Indian Men, won the Mens Singles Title in the  World Championships for the Deaf held in Turkey. 

LAST WEEK OF 2019

A great finish to an awesome year at Chennai Tennis Centre.

After Prithvi Sekhar won the world deaf championship in Turkey and Manish won the Singles Individual and team Gold for India at the South Asian Games Held in Nepal this month, in the last week of the year alone the Players of Chennai Tennis Centre won 4 singles and 2 doubles titles, apart from 5 different finalists in various national ranking tournaments, held at different places in India.

All results of this week for CTT from various AITA tournaments:

1. 15-year-old Joel Nikole won the U_16 and U-18 singles titles in CS at Secunderabad
2. 14-year-old Adhirit Awal won the Boys U-16 Title, the U-18 Doubles titles and was also the finalist in the U-18 singles event at the CS held in Jalandhar
3. Keerthi Vasan won the U-14 singles title at the CS event held at KTC, Chennai.
4. Deepak senthil kumar was the Finalist at the AITA 1 L Men’s Singles and doubles events held at Bhubaneshwar
5. Vimal Raj Jayachandran, finalist at the AITA 1 L Doubles event held at Bubaneshwar
6. Sidharth Madhavan was the finalist in singles at the U-14 CS event held at KTC, Chennai.
7. Tarakesh Asokhar was the finalist at the U-18 singles event in CS tournament held at Secunderabad.

1st Week of 2020

The 1st week of January 2020 saw Gokul suresh win both the Singles and Doubles Titles in the AITA 1 Lakh Mens Tournament held at Vijayawada

Also in the 1st week of January Rishi Paventhan won the U-18 Singles title in the AITA tournament held in Chennai

2nd Week of 2020

Gokul Suresh Continues his exploits in the Indian Mens Circuit by winning the Mens Doubles Title Along with Prithvi Shekar in the AITA 1 Lakh Mens Tournament Held at Chennai

Gokul was also a finalist in the Mens Singles even in the same Tournament

 

3rd Week of 2020

Manish Suresh Kumar, Vimal Raj Jayachandran and Guhan Rajan of CTC won the All India Inter University Title for Madras University

4th Week of 2020

Sai Samhitha Won the womens Singles Title at the  AITA 1 Lakh held in Chennai

Samruthi Won the Girls Singles Title at the AITA CS Under -14 event held in Madurai

6th Week of 2020

Abhilasha of Nepal, who also trains at CTC from time to time reached the finals of the ITF Juniors Grade 5 held in Nepal

7th Week of 2020

A few of the future stars of Chennai Tennis Center, Shyam Sunder, Manish Balaji, Keerthi Vasan and Sidharth Madhavan made history by taking up all the 4 semi finalist spots in the AITA Cs U-16 Tournament held at CTC, Chennai.

Shyam Sunder went on to win the Boys singles title in the tournament

Joel Nickol won the girls singles title in the same tournament, thus making it a clean sweep by Chennai Tennis Center

9th Week of 2020

Prithvi Shekar and Sai Samhitha who were given permanent jobs at the ICF in Chennai under sports quota for their perfromance in tennis, won the All India Inter Railways title

10th Week of 2020

Vimal Raj Jayachandran and Guhan Rajan of Chennai Tennis Center won title for Madras University in the Khelo India University Games 

11th Week of 2020​

Lohith Aksha won his maiden AITA singles title at the 1 Lakh mens event held in Hyderabad. He also won the Doubles title in the tournament.

Manish Suresh Kumar was crusing through the ITF 15 K Fututres in Kokaltta as the secong seeded player in the tournament. As he was preparing to play the quarterfinals, the tournament was called off by the ITF due to the COVID 19 Situation. 

12th Week of 2020​

The COVID 19 situation has put a hold on all ATP, ITF and AITA tournaments 

OCTOBER 2022

Adhirit Awal and Rudr Gootgutia won the Individual and team title, in All India Interschool tournament organised by the SGFI organisation of India in Koklatta

Govardhan wins the CS Under 12 title in Chennai December 2022
